This accession consists of the "eMammal" blog as is existed on December 24, 2014. eMammal is a project that allows citizen scientists to work in collaboration with researchers at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute, North Carolina State University, and the National Museum of Natural History to document mammals throughout the mid-Atlantic region by placing camera traps across the landscape in parks and other natural areas to collect photos of mammals. The blog, which also serves as the project's website, provides information about the project, volunteer opportunities, and research based upon the project. The blog launched in November 2013. Materials are in electronic format.
