This accession consists primarily of field notes by Edward Oscar Ulrich (1857-1944), a paleontologist and geologist who spent much of his career with the United States Geological Survey (USGS). A few notes were made by Ray S. Bassler and Willis T. Lee. Materials also include monthly reports, correspondence, scientific illustrations, photographs, and maps.
