This accession consists of the "Smithsonian Digital Volunteers: Transcription Center" website and the Smithsonian Transcription Center Tumblr blog as they existed on December 29, 2015.
The website invites the public to become digital volunteers and transcribe digitized collections from across the Smithsonian Institution in order to make them more accessible. This accession contains the website's informational pages and does not include most of the digitized collections nor the transcriptions.
The Tumblr blog highlights collections that can be found in the Transcription Center. It launched in March 2014. Due to technical issues, some features in this crawled website may not function as expected.
