Descriptive Entry
Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of materials created by emeritus research zoologist, Clyde F. E. Roper. Roper began his career at the United States National Museum, now the National Museum of Natural History, in 1966 and quickly became the world's foremost authority on Architeuthis - the giant squid. Some of these records predate his work at the National Museum of Natural History. Materials include correspondence, brochures, posters, black and white photographs, black and white negatives, black and white transparencies, color photographs, 16 mm and 8 mm film, field notes, and other related materials. Some materials are in electronic format.
