This accession consists of three websites and one blog maintained by the National Postal Museum (NPM).
The primary NPM website, crawled June 2, 2016, includes information about the museum and its exhibitions, collections, research, events, and educational resources. It also includes online exhibitions. Detailed collection information is not included in this accession and, due to technical issues, some website features do not function as expected.
"Arago: People, Postage, and the Post," crawled February 2, 2016, is a resource to the study of philately and postal operations as seen through NPM's collections. Detailed collection information is not included in this accession and, due to technical issues, some website features do not function as expected.
"People and the Post: A Digital Memory Book," crawled February 4, 2016, invites current and retired postal employees to share work-related stories with the general public to showcase the depth and breadth of the history of the postal system and its contributions to American history. Only a limited number of user-generated stories is included in this accession.
"Pushing the Envelope," NPM's blog which was crawled on June 2, 2016, is dedicated to sharing behind-the-scenes stories, thoughts, and interesting discussion about the museum and its collection. The blog launched in September 2009.
