This accession consists of materials documenting the design of exhibitions at the National Museum of the American Indian. Major exhibits include: "Our Peoples: Giving Voice to Our Histories;" "Our Lives: Contemporary Life and Identities;" "Fritz Scholder: Indian/Not Indian;" "Native Modernism: The Art of George Morrison and Allan Houser;" "Identity by Design: Tradition, Change, and Celebration in Native Women's Dresses;" "Listening to Our Ancestors: the Art of Native Life along the Pacific Coast;" and "Return to a Native Place: Algonquian Peoples of the Chesapeake." Materials include manuscripts, correspondence, notes, brochures, exhibition catalogs, floor plans, architectural drawings, images, videos, and other related materials.
