This accession consists of records which document the research, development, fundraising, publicity, production, and execution of exhibitions at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), previously known as the National Museum of American Art, 1980-2000, as well as exhibitions displayed in the Renwick Gallery. These materials were primarily created by Chief Curator Eleanor Jones Harvey, with a smaller portion created by Exhibitions Coordinator Marie Elena Amatangelo and Postdoctoral Fellow Elaine Yau.
