This accession consists of records that document planning and funding for the publication "Catalogue of the Hans Syz Collection: Meissen Porcelain and Hausmalerei (Volume I)" and subsequent volumes about the collection that were never published. The first volume was authored by Hans C. Syz, J. Jefferson Miller, and Rainer Ruckert. Volumes two and three were to be authored by ceramics scholar R. J. Charleston, but he was unable to complete them due to ill health.
Materials include the correspondence of Hans C. Syz, Rainer Ruckert, and R. J. Charleston; correspondence, memoranda, and notes of Division of Ceramics and Glass curators Paul Vickers Gardner, Susan H. Myers, and J. Jefferson Miller; budget summaries; agreements; meeting minutes; photographs; brochures; and supporting documentation.
