This accession consists of correspondence of Frederick M. Bayer (1921-2007), curator in the Department of Invertebrate Zoology, 1947-1961, 1975-1996, and Curator Emeritus, 1996-2006. Most of the correspondence concerns his study of octocorals of New Caledonia. Materials also include postcards, photographs, clippings, and related materials. Materials that postdate his death relate to his obituary and research collections.
