Descriptive Entry
This accession consists primarily of audiovisual materials used in exhibitions at the National Museum of American History. Exhibitions documented include 300 Years of American Papermaking, Rube Goldberg: Comic Art and Invention, and Digilab. Also documented are the Henry R. Luce Hall of News Reporting and the Hall of Printing and Graphic Arts. Curators represented in the collection include Ruel P. Tolman, Peter C. Marzio, and Helena Wright. Some records date from when the curators were part of the former Division of Graphic Arts and the Division of Graphic Arts and Photography, and also from when the museum was known as the Museum of History and Technology and the National Museum of History and Technology. Additionally, some records date to when the division was part of the United States National Museum. Materials include exhibition catalogs, audiotapes, videotapes, motion picture film, a videodisc, a DAT tape, and data cartridges. Some materials are in electronic format.
