Descriptive Entry

This accession consists of a reference set of the Office of Public Affairs (OPA) publication Smithsonian Sampler. The publication features a sampling of press clippings and articles that appeared throughout the country which document the activities and interests of the Smithsonian Institution. OPA offered the publication to the general public and Smithsonian staff as a way of providing a general overview of what the popular media was reporting on the Institution. Materials include publications (Volume 1 through Volume 5, Number 1).
