This accession consists primarily of correspondence documenting a portion of the professional career of Raymond B. Manning, an authority on the study of Decapod Crustacea. Included is correspondence concerning his research as a student and staff member of the University of Miami Institute of Marine Sciences, 1957-1964; and correspondence and related records documenting his research project, "Marine Decapod Crustaceans of North Africa," conducted at the Mediterranean Marine Sorting Center in Tunisia, 1972-1975.
