This accession consists of records that document the Office of Special Events activities in preparing luncheon and dinner arrangements for Regent meetings, special awards, exhibitions, and special guests of the Smithsonian Institution. Files contain the following information, however, not all files contain this information: seating arrangements, special signs, flags for display and other ornaments, guest list, acceptance list, menu, program, newspaper clippings regarding special guests, printed program, press kit, photographs of attendees, internal memoranda, copies of outgoing correspondence, event packet, invoices, and invitations.
