This accession consists of records which document the tenure of William E. Southern as president of the Colonial Waterbird Society (CWS). Materials include correspondence to and from Southern, minutes of the meetings and the work of different committees and councils of the Society. Also included is the first draft of the "White Paper" on Colonial Waterbird Management. Some of the records date from when the CWS was known as the Colonial Waterbird Group.
