This accession consists of the papers of Jackson Miles Abbott, noted bird watcher and authority on the American bald eagle. Papers include records of his bird sightings, his work on the preservation of the bald eagle, extensive notes on Virginia birds, as well as birds of other parts of the world, and his work to preserve Dyke Marsh.
