This accession includes records that document collections management activities during the creation of "The Smithsonian's America: An Exhibition on American History and Culture" for the American Festival Japan 1994. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes pertaining to object acquisitions, packing of such items, and shipping arrangements. In addition are customs notebooks which consist of photographs of artifacts, script/control numbers, and insurance value information.
