Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records that document Jeffrey K. Stine's involvement in the conceptual phase of the Science in American Life (SAL) exhibition at the National Museum of American History (NMAH). Stine served as coordinator of the feasibility study for the exhibition, and was lead Curator from July 1989 to October 1990. He was Curator for the Division of Engineering and Industry during this period, which became the Division of Technology, Commerce, and Work in October 1994.
Materials include Stine's correspondence and memoranda pertaining to proposals, financial matters, and design concepts for the Science in American Life exhibition; minutes of Advisory Board Meetings; budgetary files; NMAH floor plans; and exhibition scripts. Also includes some records dating to the "History of Science" exhibition at NMAH, which Stine and other curators used as background information for "Science in American Life."
