These records include documentation of Association of Systematics Collections (ASC) efforts to gain financial and Congressional support on several issues, including: the Systematic Entomology Lab, the improvement of Fish and Wildlife regulations, the creation of a National Biological Survey, ASC's relationship with The Nature Conservancy and The Associated Natural Science Institutions, the MacArthur Foundation-funded effort to provide scientific literature to Cuban Institutions, and ASC Executive Director Elaine Hoagland's participation in the National Research Council's Committee on Environmental Research.
