This accession consists of records from the office of James T. Demetrion, Director of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (HMSG), pertaining to the exhibition Jean Dubuffet 1943-1963: Paintings, Sculptures, Assemblages, which Demetrion organized for HMSG in 1993. The records consist of Demetrion's correspondence and memoranda which document planning for the Jean Dubuffet exhibition; exhibition installation blueprints; loan agreements; copies of articles pertaining to Dubuffet artwork; exhibition catalog and brochures; and budget information.
