Lloyd G. Henbest was a senior geologist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from 1929-1970. These papers consist of correspondence with fellow USGS researchers, scientific colleagues, professional societies, and oil companies pertaining to Henbest's geological survey work. Materials include correspondence and meeting minutes regarding the Cushman Foundation and geologic nomenclature.
