These records consist of the record books of specimens distributed by the Smithsonian Institution to individuals and institutions throughout the world. One volume includes distributions from Spencer Fullerton Baird's personal collections. These materials document the work of Stephen C. Brown, Registrar, 1880-1919; and Herbert S.
