Historical Note
The functions of the publication editor date back to FY 1968 when Georgia M. Rhoades was appointed editor, National Collection of Fine Arts (NCFA). In FY 1969 the office was officially titled the Editorial Office, and in FY 1970 the title was changed to Publication Editor, with Rhoades remaining editor of the Office.
Responsibilities of the Publication Editor include the editing of NCFA catalogs; assisting NCFA staff in the writing of articles for publication in professional and semiprofessional art journals; securing the printing of invitations for exhibitions openings; securing the printing of posters; editing and writing articles for Artyfacts, a weekly information newsletter for NCFA staff; and investigating fund procedures for NCFA publications.
