Descriptive Entry

These records document three projects carried out by the Office of Cooperative Programs, the University Workshop on the History of Aviation, 1988; the Legacy of Strategic Bombing lecture series, 1989-1990; and the International Conference on Aerospace History, April, 1990. Materials include correspondence, budgets, contracts, schedules, biographies, and equipment lists and brochures.

Historical Note

The Office of Cooperative Programs was created in 1987 to develop lectures, films, and seminars for the public and lectures for the staff. Helen C. McMahon, who had served National Air and Space Museum previously as Chief of Special Projects and Publications, Chief of Aerospace Education and Publications, and Director of Educational Planning, was selected as its first manager and has served 1987- .
