These records consist of correspondence, memoranda, reports, and related materials documenting a myriad of duties performed by Kerby during her career at the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH). They include voluminous materials concerning the development of the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI), especially activities of the NMAI Collection Management Task Force, and the movement of NMNH collections to the Museum Support Center. Also included are files created by Charles W. Hart, Jr., during his tenure as Staff Assistant to the Director, 1977-1979.
