Descriptive Entry

These records consist of incoming and outgoing correspondence of the curatorial staff of the Division of Crustacea. The correspondence concerns the identification, acquisition, and exchange of specimens; preparation and review of scientific papers and monographs; professional activities of the staff, especially involvement in The Crustacean Society; review of grant proposals; and divisional administration. Curators represented in the correspondence include Thomas E. Bowman, Raymond B. Manning, J. Laurens Barnard, Roger F. Cressey, Jr., Louis S. Kornicker, Brian F. Kensley, and Charles W. Hart, Jr. Also included is correspondence of Museum Specialist C. Allan Child.
