Descriptive Entry

These records consist of invitations, guest and participant lists, seating plans, responses, menus, and occasional background papers of speakers.

Historical Note

The earliest functions of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (WWICS) were arranged by a staff secretary with the approval of the Director. As the number of dialogues and receptions increased, a Special Events Coordinator was needed to arrange for catering, invitations, and other details. Louise Platt served as Coordinator, 1975- .
