These records deal chiefly with the completion of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden's building on the Mall. There are also some materials from Bradley's earlier career.

Historical Note

Historical Note
James C. Bradley served as Undersecretary of the Smithsonian Institution, 1971-1972. After his retirement in 1972, Bradley agreed to serve as a Special Consultant to Secretary S. Dillon Ripley in order to assist in the completion of several projects with which he had been involved before his retirement.
