This record unit consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence and memoranda written by Robert F. Fudali during his tenure as Chairman, 1983-1988, concerning departmental administration and his professional activities, and annual reports of the Department of Mineral Sciences, 1963-1986, and its predecessor, the Division of Mineralogy and Petrology of the Department of Geology, 1953-1963.

Historical Note

Historical Note
Daniel E. Appleman was appointed Chairman of the Department of Mineral Sciences in 1978 and served through 1982. Robert F. Fudali served as Chairman from 1983 until 1988.
