This collection consists of four pen-and-ink drawings of geological formations executed by Henry Wood Elliott while serving with the Hayden Survey in Wyoming in 1870.

Henry Wood Elliott (1846-1930) was an artist, explorer, and conservationist. From 1869 to 1871 he served as an artist on the United States Geological and Geographical Surveys of the Territories under Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden.
