These papers consist of correspondence, drafts, notes, lists and related materials mostly concerning John Warfield Huddle's research on conodonts from the Genesee Formation in Western New York.
Historical Note
Historical Note
John Warfield Huddle (1907-1975) received his Ph.D. in paleontology from Indiana University (IU) in 1934. He served on the faculty of the University of North Carolina from 1934 to 1949. Huddle was appointed geologist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in 1950. He remained with the USGS until his death. Huddle's research specialty was conodont biostratigraphy.
