This collection consists of illustrations and black and white photographs of insects that were used for figures and plates in scientific research papers written by various Department of Entomology and United States Department of Agriculture entomologists. Illustrators include B. B. Baber, Lawrence M. Druckenbrod, Julia Ellen Edmonson, Molly Ann Dwyer Griffin, Elaine R. S. Hodges, Frank M. Hull, Andre del Campo Pizzini, Robert J. Sim, Arthur Smith, Jung Lea Smith, Robert Evans Snodgrass, and George L. Venable.
