Two scrolls, each handwritten on vellum in heavy black characters, with some rubrication. The vellum leaves of each scroll are sewn together with leather strips.

For collection management purposes, each scroll has been arbitrarily assigned a volume number and barcode. The unrolled length of one scroll is 155 cm. (designated as v. 1; bc no. 39088009319740); the unrolled length of the other scroll is 193 cm. (designated as v. 2; bc no. 39088012158044).

Date and exact place of the scrolls' creation are undetermined. Probably produced in Ethiopia during the late 19th or early 20th century?

With hand-drawn illustrations (faces, people, crosses) and decorations, in red and black inks.
