The collection is available on 35mm microfilm reels 2803 at Archives of American Art offices and through interlibrary loan.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
The collection was donated in 1966 by Gladys Rockmore Davis.
Processing Information
The collection was microfilmed upon receipt. The papers were processed, and a finding aid prepared by Jayna Josefson in 2022 with support from the Smithsonian American Women's History Initiative.
Separated Materials
The Archives of American Art also holds microfilm of material lent for microfilming on D176 and D288 including: Photographs, writings, and vita information; correspondence; biographical information; clippings; personal documents; exhibition notices; photographs; sketchbook (1944); and some business and miscellaneous items. The writings contain interesting accounts of Davis's travels in Europe and the Far East. Loaned materials were returned to the Davis after microfilming and are not described in the collection container inventory.
