Edited film, which features anthropologist Nigel Barley as he sets off to do fieldwork on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, is a humorous and revealing look at the process of doing ethnography. Film includes ethnographic information on Torajan village organization and agriculture, woodcarving and architecture, and religious life.
