Scope and Contents
Scope and Contents
Film project shot in Ghana by John Marshall in collaboration with ethnomusicologist Nicholas England. The footage focuses on the music and influence of Vinoko Akpalu, an important Ewe conposer and poet. Marhsall shot the film on Akpalu's hometown of ANyako, Ghana in August 1972. England recorded teh synchronous sound and made additional recordings.
It appears that Marhsall and England planned to edit a film from this mateial, but the project was never completed.
