Scope and Contents
Sound recording believed to be of Native Alaskan informant providing native words for English natural history terms. Recording made at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, possibly by Richard Manville (former head of mammal section of Bird and Mammal laboratories, Bio survey unit, Fish and Wildlife Services, 1910-1974). Terms include natural history topics such as mammals, snow, ice, and rivers.
