The Ward Weakly Papers contain a record of his military service (1961-1967), papers and presentations (1975-1983), and programs and other materials relating to the Plains Conference (1947-1981).

The National Anthropological Archives holds the Ward F. Weakly photograph collection relating to pottery making in Sinoloa, Mexico (Photo Lot 86-47).
Biographical Note
Biographical Note
Ward Weakly earned a B.A. (1960) and a M.A. (1961) in anthropology from the University of Nebraska and Ph.D. (1968) in anthropology from the University of Arizona. He was an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Tulsa from 1967 to 1971. He became the first Preservation Officer of the Bureau of Reclamation in 1974. Ward Weakly died in 1985.
