Mr. Julian H. Moore, grandson of Henry Scomp's sister visited May 2, 1962. He states that the dictionary was recorded by Mr. Henry Scomp at his home in Danville, Kentucky at the end of his life, and after his teaching career at Emory College. Mr. Moore states he does not recall hearing Mr. Scomp referred to as "Reverend," but that he was a professor. Mr. Scomp's sister Viola is still living in Danville. Mr. Moore lives there also.

Forwarded to the Bureau of American Ethnology by Miss Viola W. Scomp, August 1, 1913, after her father's death. Extensive correspondence in Smithsonan Institution files, 1912-13 and previous years, covering the history of this work and Scomp's collaboration with the B.A.E.
