Includes notes on Buff's genealogy, his own history, and the way he and his family lived when he was a boy. Also includes a vocabulary (Dawson describes is as Black Rock speech and adds that "in Julian H. Steward's map this is shown as Tunuhu witu"). There is also a clipping from an Inyo, California, newspaper about Tule Sally, an Indian woman who disappeared after other Indians accused her of witchcraft.
