Petroff, Ivan. Report on the Population, Industries, and Resources of Alaska. United States: U.S. Government Printing Office, 1884.
The lithographs are signed by the lithographer, A. Hoen & co. The artist's name is not provided on the lithographs or in the text of the publication.

The provenance of the collection is unknown. The lithographs were found in USNM collection; no catalog or accession numbers have been located. The lithographs were transferred from the object collections of the Department of Anthropology to the National Anthropological Archives in 1969.
