Biographical / Historical
Mrs. Beverly Partridge is a resident of Canon City, Colorado. She was born in Denver Colorado on August 15, 1937. While working as a housewife she continued to collect shopping bags as well as Irish Beelleck China and Swizzle sticks. She began collecting the materials for this collection in 1975 and continued until 1990. The wide variety of designs, she found to be "interesting" and "artistic" and inspired her to begin this collection. She observed and appreciated the changes made in the shopping bag designs of individual companies such as Bloomingdale's throughout the years. The bags have advertising value through their attractive designs and easy recongnizability.
