Ownership and Custodial History
The cigarette packages were originally collected by a United States Navy captain named McCollum, from an officer's club in the Philippines frequented by Japanese soldiers. Captain McCollum's widow sold the collection to Hallye M. Cornelius. Glendora Horne inherited the collection upon the death of Ms. Cornelius.
