Scope and Contents
Collection consists of black-and-white photoprints of mills, taken circa 1916-1917, some captioned in shorthand; a notebook, also in shorthand; two postcards of mills; a typescript essay entitled "On the Hunting of Old Mills"; and maps, presumably used to find the mills. Of those captioned, most of the mills in the captioned photographs are in Maryland and Virginia.
