Content Description
Papers relate to the work of civil engineer George Williams Brown. Among the materials is a one hundred-and thirty-three-page logbook of his trip to Nicaragua dating from 1897-1898. There are also letters from Brown to his family primarily discussing his work, especially in Nicaragua and at the Dry Tortugas during 1897. In addition, there is a photograph album created by Brown dating from 1898 and his later description of it in 1935. The papers are arranged in chronological order.
