Sam DeVincent Collection of Illustrated American Sheet Music, Series 2: Armed Forces
Sam DeVincent loved music and art and began collecting sheet music with lithographs at an early age. Series 2: Armed Forces contains circa 3,400 pieces of sheet music and song folios documenting the military history of the United States; there are only a handful of foreign imprints. BMI Archives Confederate Sheet Music Collection
This collection contains sheet music themed in support of the Confederacy. Many pieces were printed within the Confederate States of America during the Civil War (1861-1865). It also contains one Confederate bond and early twentieth century facsimiles of Confederate broadsides from the Chicago Historical Society.
