Bird on the Ground/Bird Over the Ground (descendants now known as "Bird in Ground"). A traditional tribal leader who opposed bording schools on the reservation, the use of peyote, and the opening of the reservation. Bird Over the Ground worked closely with Plenty Coups on many issues.
