This accession consists of records that document exhibitions shown at the National Museum of American Art (NMAA) and the Renwick Gallery. Materials include correspondence, notes, memoranda, checklists, prospectuses, funding proposals, lists, newspaper clippings, grants, brochures, photographs, and press releases.
Archer M. Huntington Art Gallery exhibition files
The microfilmed Archer M. Huntington Art Gallery exhibition files contain 621 exhibition files (1948-1981) including biographical data on artists, correspondence, photographs, exhibition checklists, price and sales lists, loan agreements, condition reports, shipping orders and receipts, exhibition announcements, catalogs and invitations, press releases, and clippings.

N W Ayer Advertising Agency Records
1869-2006
Collection consists of records documenting one of the oldest advertising agencies created in Philadelphia. The company then moves to New York and expanses to international markets. During its history NW Ayer & Sons acquires a number of other advertising agencies and is eventually purchased. The largest portion of the collection is print advertisements but also includes radio and television. NW Ayer is known for some of the slogans created for major American companies.
