Mostly images of artifacts, architecture, peoples, and some maps published in various Bureau of American Ethnology publications, particularly the Annual Reports. Most of the line drawings were made by Henry Hobart Nichols, while most of the graphite drawings were possibly created by Edward Schumacher.

The Lillian Samuelson papers relating to Seneca artist, Ernest Smith, mainly comprise information pertaining to Smith and business dealings between Samuelson and Smith. Samuelson owned a shop which sold contemporary Native American art; after acquiring a small collection of Smith's paintings, Samuelson formed a close relationship with Smith and eventually acted as his manager. The collection comprises correspondence between Samuelson and Smith and documentation of Smith's paintings, Iroquois stories, and personal history. It also contains photographs pertaining to Smith. Samuelson's papers also include publications and other materials concerning Samuelson's involvement with various organizations. This collection consists of correspondence, writings, publications, press clippings, and photographs.

The papers of Michiko Takaki, 1921-2011 (bulk 1960s), document her field work among the Kalinga people of the northern Philippines and her professional contributions as a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. The papers consist primarily of economic and linguistic field data gathered between 1964 and 1968, used in the production of her doctoral dissertation ("Aspects of Exchange in a Kalinga Society, Northern Luzon," 1977) and throughout her anthropological career. The collection consists of field notes, maps, photographic prints, negatives, slides, sound recordings, recorded film, data and analysis, correspondence, working files and drafts, and publications.
