States that Timothy Pickering, one of Washington's Cabinet, was given the Indian name of Conne-Sante (?) and that this name means "the western slope of a hill",- both traditional. Asks whether Conne-Sante is Iroquoian. Also says that Nantasket is said to be derived from an Iroquois word, Aiayascon, meaning "a man's arm." Requests information.
