A collection of official U.S. government documents relating to the legislative history of the 1966 Department of Transportation Act, prepared by the Civil Aeronautics Board for the use of its own staff.Types of materials in the collection include: presidential messages; bills of the 89th Congress (House and Senate) in various stages of the legislative process; amendments; committee prints and hearings; a copy of Public Law 89-670; excerpts from the Congressional record; typed and signed Civil Aeronautics Board inter- and intra-office correspondence; memoranda and other miscellaneous documents.

Scrapbook containing images (mostly color lithographs) excised from contemporary greeting cards, periodicals, trade cards, advertisements, and other kinds of ephemera. Images are mounted on both sides of the leaves.
Donald Deskey collection
Project files containmagazine and newspaper clippings, reviews, correspondence, renderings, floor plans, perspective drawings, site plans, sketches, preliminary drawings, patents, stationery, labels, and technical reports. There is an extensive collection of photographs and slides of many of Deskey's packaging designs, interiors, furnishings, and exhibition installations. The files of Donald Deskey Associates include organizational charts, client files, proposals, and financial records. Some of Deskey's personal correspondence, speeches, articles, and family photographs are included. Materials cover the period from 1927-1975.

Photograph album, containing amateur snapshots taken at the Exposition coloniale internationale de Paris (1931), together with some photographs of the demolition of the fairground buildings in late 1932.
Painted drawings by Rhodesian school children in the Smithsonian Institution
Consists of 24 watercolors mounted in a "Croxley Drawing Book" album ( p., interleaved with tissue paper) with the hand-written identification: "Watercolour drawings by f-emale & m-ale African primary school children" on p.  of the cover; 1 print-out of essay (2010), Painted drawings by Rhodesian school children in the Smithsonian Institution, by Jonathan Zilberg; and 1 photocopy of a "Suggested press release" for a traveling exhibition of similar paintings that toured the U.S. under the auspices of the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service from 1960 through 1970. The paintings were mounted in the album sometime between 1965 and 1967. The watercolors were created by children at the Nyarutsetso Art Centre, Highfield, Salisbury (now Harare) Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) in the course of art classes taught by Anglican missionary and art educator, Canon Edward Paterson, and date from 1961-1967.

The collection consists chiefly of hand-written notes made by Southgate on a wide range of postal history topics and related matters, generally on lined or graph paper measuring 25 x 15 cm. or smaller, for keeping in triple-post binders. Some of the notes were made in "Lefax" or other commercially-available notebooks. The collection includes numerous mounted newsclippings, brochures, and excerpted articles from philatelic journals, as well as statistical data, advertisements, copies of correspondence, and diagrams made by Southgate to illustrate plate variations, etc.
